Molluscum treatment

We took Charlie-Belle to a dermatologist today to have her molluscum treated.  She told us that ot wouldn't hurt wjen she put it on and it didn't but the spots have blistered and should be gone when the swelling goes down.  Daniel had his thumb treated and says it doesn't hurt that badly but Charlie-Bellenis having a really rough evening. We're treating her discomfort with neosporin (an antibiotic ointment and pain killer) chocolate milk, cuddles and team umi zoomi.  We're hoping the annoying blisters only last a little while and that the spots will be gone for good when she heals.  We've been referred to an eye doctor who is said to sedate small children and treat the spots on their faces while they're under and don't feel the treatment.  We were quite apprehensive about it when the dermatologist first explained it, but our little princess is so upset about her blisters that it might be better to have the spots removed as she sleeps. :-/  We'll keep you all posted!

Oliver had is 5th birthday exam at the doctor yesterday. He's average weight and a little less than average height. He had 3 injections for his booster shots and we went to the zoo afterwards.

After taking Charlotte to the doctor today we went to a safe store to educate ourselves and while we were there Charlotte looked up at me and said, "I need to go pee pee". We went to the.potty and she was totally dry. She used the potty again before her nap and by bathtime had been in the same pullup all day and it was still dry. :-)

The Elf has arrived

Yeserday when we got home from school we found a package on our doorstep with a letter to Oliver and Charlotte.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you: The Clarke Family Elf,

THUNDER!!!!

Thunder will be with us until Santa comes to visit around December 20th then will travel to Ohio to continue to keep watch until Santa visits there.   Charlotte has asked Santa for a Dollhouse and Oliver has asked for a Racetrack and bubbles.  They both spent a few minutes talking to Thunder about their wishes.

The Crayola Factory, and beyond!

Im pleased to say we are all back safe and sound from our holiday in the North!
The kiddos had a great time (as did the parentals I might add!)

We managed to split the trip in 2 parts again on the way home (thanks to the "The Blacks" and "The Fulks" for letting a few weary travelers eat and rest on our way back to Nashville!)

So this trip was really centered around the Crayola Factory experience from the beginning. Oliver had seen it on one of his shows many months ago and mentioned he would like to go there.
4 floors of exhausting crayon goodness!!
We spent a good 6 hours there - suffice to say WE ALL slept well that night!

We ended the day opening presents from Grandma, Grandad and Auntie Kelly "in England!"
They loved all their gifts, and Oliver wants to wear his glow in the dark PJ's tomorrow night when his friends have a sleepover!

I will let the pictures do the talking ...

Here we melted crayons and turned them into shapes - like dinosaurs, cars and rings!

This machine let us melt crayons and create "works of art!"

A giant jungle jim with animals to colour!

Here we made shapes filled with different coloured sand!

Airbrushing with Crayola washable marker pens :)

PRESENTS FROM ENGLAND!!!!

LOVED his personalized set of stationary!!

OMG .... C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E!!!!

We made him close his eyes, then counted down from 5 before we blasted him party poppers!!!

Of course he just had to have a go!

What a great birthday!!

Wish you all could have been here
