Charlotte gets her ears pierced

I Charlotte has been talking for weeks now about getting her ears pierced.
Today (in honour of Autie Kelly's 30th birthday) she decided (emphasis on the word SHE!), to get her ears pierced!

No tears, no fuss we were amazed how well she did!

I managed to come home for 1 day during my 7 week training at Southwest and be here for the occasion which was great!

***UPDATE***

We went swimming earlier today being careful not to get her ears wet. Well she was drying her ear and one came out. So now we have to wait 2 weeks to get them done again. Will update on how that goes 😕
To be continued ...

Happy Southwest Day!!

What a great couple of days it's been.  As you all know, Daniel's first day at Southwest wad today.  Last night we went to a reception held by the class that started earlier this month.  Today we've spent the day in the classroom learning about the company and benefits that they offer to their employees.  It's all super exciting and he's going to have a great time working for Southwest.

Yesterday we went Ice Skating at the rink in the mall near the hotel that Daniel will call home for 50 days :-)

A big week!

This week was full of exciting accomplishments.

First on the list is Oliver read his 100th book since January putting him in the 100 book club at school! Personally I don't think Ive ever read that many books in my life LOL!

His first bike that grandma and grandad from England bought him he finally outgrew, so we told him that if he hit 100 books by spring break (next week) he could pick out a new bike.
He managed to stick with it and accomplish this feat on Friday so yesterday we went bike shopping!

He held it all the way home and made quick work of pulling the training wheels off himself!

On the subject of bikes ...  Charlotte decided to give her's another go after coming off it around Xmas. She did great with a little help, so hopefully we can all  ride our bikes this summer!

All while being observed by Dodger!

Oliver tested at Tae-Kwon-Do on Friday for his yellow belt.
He won't know the results for 2 weeks, but did great! He had to demonstrate 3 different sequences in front of a panel of judges. Then had to approach the table and recite the "Tenets of Tae-Kwon-Do", and was asked "How many moves in  Chung-Gee" as well how many moves in "Song-Song".
He will find out in 2 weeks if he has attained yellow belt. He looked great out there doing all his moves, wish you all could have seen it!!

Charlotte was very proud of her big brother!!
